Kidney stones are caused due to the oxalates of different elements gathering up near the kidney and the urinary tube. These oxalates get a crystalline forms if remain dry for longer period of time. This is why it is essential to keep drinking water to avoid any chance of getting kidney stones or worse, allowing them to take crystal forms. Usually, both men and women have equal chances of getting the kidney stones. However, the symptoms are different in both. Men have some additional symptoms from the women. The main reason could be the male anatomy of their body. The extraction of the urine in men is different from women. Many times sufferers don’t even know that they have kidney stone. The reason could be the small size of the stones. These tiny stones pass out from the urine and one doesn’t even
know about them. On the other hand, a bigger size of stone, more than 5mm might cause severe pain.

There are some common symptoms that men usually face while suffering from kidney stones.  The most common is the abdominal and the side pain. The pain might look internal or muscular. If the pain comes as a sudden spike, then, it could be the kidney stone moving. Once the kidney stone starts to move from kidney to the urethra, the pain might increase many folds. The large sized stones could increase the amount of pain felt.  Men might feel pain in the pelvic area or
some cramping sensation in the testicles.

If the urine being passed looks cloudy or have some small particles, it might be the kidney stone. The small sized kidney stones break down easily, so they pass out with the urine. However, some medium sized stones would be hard to pass out easily. That is why sometimes blood might be seen in the urine. This could be the result of a stone, making contact and bruising up the urinary tube. The blood in urine could be a result of some other disease or conditions, but kidney stones should not be ruled out, even if there are no other symptoms. Men might also feel a burning sensation while passing urine as well. Men might also see some changes in their timing of urine passing. There might be some sudden urges of passing urine, even just after returning from the toilet.

Other symptoms that men might observe could be gastric pain. This might cause heart burn or chest pain. Furthermore, the diet may get affected as well due to the increasing abdominal or chest pain. One might get phases of fevers or vomiting and other similar diseases. These diseases could point out to some infection existing in the body, may be due to the kidney stones.
